There is an excellent Information Office, located at the Community Centre in Station Road. Opening Hours: Email: goring.info.office@talktalk.net Here you can obtain helpful advice on local amenities, and leaflets about Goring and Streatley and many other places and events in a wide area around. Take a look at Goring-on-Thames and Take a look at Streatley-on-Thames are two informative walkabout guides produced by the Goring & Streatley Local History Society. (Price 50p each; also available from Goring Library and Inspiration.) There are also 3 Walks leaflets, published by Goring & Streatley Environmental Group, price 30p.
Visitor Information Points There are three permanent Visitor Information Points in Goring, each providing a detailed local map and panels of helpful information on local shops and services, places to visit, forthcoming events and more. These are located at the Wheel Orchard Car Park in the centre of the village, at the Railway Station, and near the River Thames at Lock Approach.
The Goring Gap News, published monthly, is another good source of information and it is available free to residents, or for purchase in local newsagents.

Also in Station Road you will find Goring Library.
Opening hours are: Monday 09.30 - 12.30; Tuesday 0930 - 12.30 and 14.00 - 19.00; Thursday & Friday 09.30 - 12.30 and 14.00 - 17.00; Saturday 09.30 - 13.00. Tel: 01491 873028. This is the place to come if you want to find out more about the history of Goring and Streatley and to look at old photographs. You will also find a large number of leaflets about local events. The Library has a wide selection of books, online services and a very good and user-friendly children's section.
