Here you can obtain helpful advice on local amenities, and leaflets about Goring and Streatley and many other places and events in a wide area around. "Take a look at Goring-on-Thames" and "Take a look at Streatley-on-Thames" are two informative walkabout guides produced by the Goring & Streatley Local History Society. (Price 50p each; also available from Goring Library and Inspiration.) There are also 3 "Walks" leaflets, published by Goring & Streatley Environmental Group, price 30p.

The Goring Gap News, published monthly, is another good source of information and it is available free to residents, or for purchase in local newsagents.


Goring Library
Also in Station Road you will find Goring Library.

Opening hours are: Monday 09.30 - 12.30; Tuesday 0930 - 12.30 and 14.00 - 19.00; Thursday & Friday 09.30 - 12.30 and 14.00 - 17.00; Saturday 09.30 - 13.00. Tel: 01491 873028. This is the place to come if you want to find out more about the history of Goring and Streatley and to look at old photographs. You will also find a large number of leaflets about local events. The Library has a wide selection of books, online services and a very good and user-friendly children's section.
